Dean Hutchison advises and represents debtors and creditors, monitors and trustees in Companies Creditors' Arrangements Act and Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act matters. He acts for financial institutions, commercial lending companies, property developers, property management companies, commercial landlords, product manufacturers, agricultural businesses, accounting firms and trustees in bankruptcy. His experience includes forbearance agreements, proposals to creditors, creditor realizations, enforcement of security, foreclosures, receiverships and corporate landlord/tenant disputes.
Dean has represented commercial landlords in lease repudiations and terminations, lease renewals, transfer and assignment of leases, lease buyouts, as well as matters involving insolvent tenants. He has also represented clients in contractual disputes, product liability claims and professional negligence actions.
Dean has appeared before the Human Rights Board, the Municipal Government Board and all levels of the Alberta Courts.
