A. Stephens Clay

Steve Clay has extensive experience in international arbitration disputes in Europe, Asia, the United States and Latin America, serving as an advocate and as an arbitrator. He was recently selected to serve a three-year term as one of ten U.S. representative on the International Chamber of Commerce Commission on Arbitration (100 delegates worldwide). Mr. Clay also has trial and appellate experience in a broad range of business litigation matters, including contract and other commercial litigation, business tort actions, antitrust and patent infringement actions.

Selected Experience

· Representing Sylvania in ICC arbitrations in Canada and Paris.

· Serving on three arbitration panels in London and Bermuda with respect to Katrina insurance coverage claims.

· Representing North Carolina manufacturer in ICC arbitration in Miami.

· Represented AT&T in a variety of commercial disputes and international arbitration.

· Represented Raytheon Company in construction disputes and related indemnity and insurance claims in New York, Pennsylvania, Alabama, Tennessee, Louisiana, Texas, Illinois and Indiana and also in international arbitrations in Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, India, U.K. and Canada.

· Represented E.I. du Pont de Nemours in several hundred federal and state contract and toxic tort cases arising from agricultural products used in Florida, Texas, Alabama, Georgia, California and Hawaii. Favorable judgments have been obtained in every relevant jurisdiction. Also represent DuPont in commercial matters and in international arbitrations. Liaison partner for DuPont outside counsel network.

· Represented Abex Friction Products nationwide in defending several hundred products liability cases involving asbestos automotive products; after obtaining defense judgments in 10-15 cases, settled remaining cases on favorable terms; related insurance coverage litigation.
