Aaron Aisen focuses his practice on regulatory matters, banking, global insurance and reinsurance matters, and cyber risk. With a background in law, management, and public policy at the state, federal, and international levels, Aaron brings a unique perspective to the regulatory practice. His experience includes working as a compliance investigations officer at a major international bank. There, he had hands-on experience with a variety of federal laws and regulations, with particular emphasis on the Bank Secrecy Act and the Patriot Act. He also has experience in several legislative offices including at the state and federal level as well as time in the United Kingdom House of Commons in London.

His background includes interning in the Monroe County District Attorney's Office in Rochester, New York, and the City of Rochester Law Department, where he assisted with regulatory enforcement and litigation. He also interned for an administrative law judge with the New York State Division of Human Rights and for Justice Salvatore Martoche of the New York State Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Fourth Department. While receiving his juris doctor at the State University of New York at Buffalo Law School, he was an executive editor of the Buffalo Public Interest Law Journal and sat on the Jessop International Moot Court Board.

Aaron writes, contributes, and blogs on cyber risk and a variety of financial and other regulatory issues. He has co-authored papers on cyber risk and cyber insurance for the prestigious Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel and on insurance and product safety regulatory matters for the 22,000-member Defense Research Institute. He has also contributed to a chapter on reinsurance for New Appleman Insurance Law Practice Guide.
