Adam McNeil, a member in McGlinchey Stafford's New Orleans office, focuses his practice on admiralty law, including negotiation of vessel charters and shipping finance. Also an accomplished litigator, Adam handles a variety of commercial litigation, government regulatory and insurance defense matters.
Commercial / Business Representation
Adam frequently provides legal counsel to firm clients concerning their business operations and negotiation of contracts, including construction agreements, vessel purchase agreements, master service agreements, marine financing transactions, and government contracts. Those matters often involve consideration of government regulatory requirements, lender covenants and warranties, consideration of indemnity liability and risk management, as well as protection of intellectual property rights.
Litigation
Adam represents numerous businesses and their insurers in a variety of commercial and admiralty disputes in both state and federal courts. His experience includes enforcement of maritime security rights, as well as defending claims pursuant to the Jones Act, Death on the High Seas Act, Limitation of Liability Act, and general maritime law.
