Adam chairs the firm's Intellectual Property Litigation Section and he also practices in the firm's Commercial Litigation section. He began his career as a law clerk to the Honorable Roderick R. McKelvie of the United States District Court for the District of Delaware.
Since joining Young Conaway, Adam has handled, in both lead and Delaware counsel capacities, a wide variety of intellectual property and commercial disputes pending before the District of Delaware and Delaware state courts. Recent lead counsel patent infringement matters include representations involving GPS locator beacons, back-up and restore software, direct I/O device communication software and related hardware, automated music selection software, electron tunneling in rewritable hard drives, and various life sciences technologies. Adam was also recently involved in an action before the United States International Trade Commission concerning multifunction printers.
Recent lead counsel trade secret matters include cases involving automated tax preparation software and medical staffing software. Recent lead counsel trademark matters include cases involving marks in the retail grocery and financial services industries.
As Delaware counsel, Adam has handled multiple cases involving various technologies before all of the district court judges for the District of Delaware.
Adam actively represents on a pro bono basis veterans before the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims.
Adam currently serves as the firm's Hiring Partner and Chair of the Hiring Committee. He is a Past President of the Delaware Chapter of the Villanova Law School Alumni Association.
