The Labor and Employment Law Team represents management in all facets of the employer-employee relationship. Our attorneys regularly assist clients to avoid needless litigation by counseling employers in advance of significant employment decisions, and we help our clients design programs and policies to foster positive employee relations.

We advise employers in many areas of the law, including employment discrimination cases before the EEOC, state and local human rights commissions, and the courts; union avoidance techniques; unfair labor practice and union organizing proceedings before the NLRB; negotiation of collective bargaining agreements; arbitration of union grievances; strike-related TROs and injunctions; job safety cases before OSHA; minimum wage and overtime audits by Department of Labor Wage and Hour Division and litigation under the Fair Labor Standards Act; affirmative action plan design and audits by the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs; cases under the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act; unemployment compensation proceedings; preparation and administration of qualified and nonqualified retirement plans and fringe benefits plans; litigation of employee benefits claims under ERISA; and litigation of claims including wrongful termination, breach of contract, defamation and violations of whistleblower laws.
