Adnan Husain is an Associate in the firm's Intellectual Property and Litigation Departments. His practice focuses on intellectual property litigation including ANDA/Hatch-Waxman litigation as well as patent prosecution in the fields of chemistry, biotechnology/life sciences, and medical devices. His practice also includes assisting with the representation of life sciences clients on regulatory and policy matters.
As part of the Medical Scholars Program at the University of Illinois, Adnan completed a joint degree curriculum leading to an MD and a JD. He worked at the University's Office of Technology Management, conducting a "first-pass" evaluation of the intellectual property strength and commercial potential of University biotechnology innovations. Adnan was a judicial intern for Magistrate Judge Sidney Schenkier at the Northern District of Illinois (2004) and Judge Julian Cook at the Eastern District of Michigan (2005). He was also an I.P. summer associate at Knobbe Martens Olson & Bear in Irvine, CA and Darby & Darby in New York.
