We regularly advise local and foreign clients on the legal and institutional framework in place in Bangladesh to deal with corruption and bribery. We have provided extensive opinions on, among others, the relevant provisions of the Penal Code (XLV of 1860), the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1947, the Government Servants (Conduct) Rules 1979, the Government Servants (Discipline & Appeal) Rules 1983 and the Anti-corruption Commission Act 2004. Representative work: - Advised Landis + Gyr, a global industry leader in energy meters and metering solutions, on whether the hospitality to be extended to a delegation from Titas Gas Transmission & Distribution Company Ltd ("Titas Gas"), a company part owned by the Bangladesh Government would be in compliance with our anti-corruption and bribery laws.

programmes and helped set-up such programmes.
