During the summer breaks, he did externships with the Bonneville County Prosecutors Office in Idaho Falls, ID and the United States Attorney's Office in Boise, ID. Following law school, he clerked for District Judge Darla Williamson in Ada County, ID. The last 3 and half years have been spent as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for the Bonneville County Prosecutors Office in Idaho Falls, ID.
