Alan is an associate in the Business Litigation Practice Group of Troutman Sanders LLP. His practice focuses on complex commercial litigation in federal and state courts. Alan has experience representing companies and individuals in class actions, breach of contract disputes, and business tort claims. He has also represented tenants in landlord-tenant actions on a pro bono basis. Prior to joining Troutman Sanders, Alan served as a law clerk to the Honorable Colleen Kollar-Kotelly on the United States District Court for the District of Columbia. During his clerkship, Alan worked on a variety of complex cases including administrative agency review, employment discrimination, patent, tax, labor, ERISA, and Guantanamo Bay detainee habeas litigation. Prior to his clerkship, Alan worked on complex commercial litigation as an associate at Hogan & Hartson LLP in Washington, D.C.
