Biography

Alexandra Konieczny is a member of Sutherland's Energy and Environmental Practice Group. Her practice is focused on energy- and commodity-related projects, transactions and controversies, including issues related to compliance with rules and regulations. Alexandra primarily advises clients on Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, North American Electric Reliability Corporation, and Commodity Futures Trading Commission compliance issues.

Prior to joining Sutherland, Alexandra was an associate in the Global Projects Group of a large international law firm. She also served as an intern in the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Georgia, as well as a research coordinator for the Transplant Surgery Division of Emory University Hospital.

Alexandra is fluent in Polish and Russian and has a working knowledge of French.

Representative Experience

Alexandra's recent representative experience includes:

· Representing power, natural gas and renewable energy sector clients, including electric utilities, cooperatives, generators and end users in proceedings before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, the North American Electric Reliability Corporation, and state and federal courts.

· Advising clients on electric reliability and cybersecurity compliance issues.

· Negotiating agreements to secure interconnection and sale of output for generators.

· Performing document drafting, due diligence, and legal research and analysis involved in the developing, structuring, financing, acquiring or selling energy assets.
