Alfredo Fournier & Asociados was established in 1962 by Alfredo Fournier Beeche. It is a general, full-service legal firm serving corporate, institutional and individual clients. The firm has a prominent reputation in international business transactions and foreign investment in Costa Rica, advising clients on how to select the best option to set their business deal with government regulations, taxes, financial issues, real estate, labor problems, intellectual and industrial property, local laws and conflict of laws between Costa Rica and other jurisdictions. The firm has a very strong litigation department. The client base of the firm is made up mainly from Costa Rica, the United States, Canada, Latin America and Europe. The firm has very important experience in acquisitions, mergers, privatizations and reorganizations. All members are authorized to practice in Costa Rica. Additionally, all members are Notary Publics. Although Spanish is the official language of Costa Rica, most members of our staff are fluent in English and several other foreign languages.
