A member of the Litigation Department, Alicia's practice focuses on representing public and private companies, small businesses, and individuals in a wide range of complex litigation. Alicia brings a wealth of experience in handling product liability, construction, probate and general commercial matters, as well as Section 1983 work. Prior to joining the firm, Alicia practiced in the New York office of LePatner & Associates LLP. Her past experience also includes serving as a legal intern at the United Nations Secretariat in New York and the Colorado General Assembly Office of Legislative Legal Services, and as a judicial extern for the Honorable Wiley Y. Daniel of the United States District Court for the District of Colorado. Proficient in Spanish, Alicia also developed a working knowledge of Spanish business and legal terminology while working as a judicial extern for a national court in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Prior to her legal studies, Alicia was a writer/editor for Women's Policy, Inc. in Washington, DC, where she also served as an adviser to the women members of the U.S. Congress. In this capacity, she provided detailed legislative analysis on the appropriations bills approved by Congress and contributed articles published in Women's Health Legislation in the 107th Congress.
With her diverse background offering a unique perspective into commercial and corporate matters, she effectively leverages her business knowledge to help clients reach resolutions. She works shoulder to shoulder with her clients, learning their objectives and tolerances before crafting a strategy that efficiently meets their needs. She has handled a number of product liability cases, including defending a medical device company and a well-known tool manufacturer in cases relating to personal injury. She also has worked with construction companies and property developers in breach of contract matters.
In addition to her commercial litigation practice, Alicia also serves as the prosecuting attorney for the City of Blue Ash, Ohio and the Village of Silverton, Ohio.
