Alicia Kinsey is an associate in the Financial Services Regulatory and Enforcement practice in the Washington, DC office. She counsels US and non-US financial services firms on a variety of regulatory, compliance, enforcement, and transactional matters.
Alicia regularly counsels financial institutions on anti-money laundering, the USA PATRIOT Act, and international funds transfer matters. In addition, she advises financial institutions on investment authority issues and activities restrictions, as well as on legislative and regulatory developments of significance to the financial services industry. Alicia also addresses regulatory status questions for US and non-US financial institutions effecting transactions in, and providing advice with respect to, securities.
Alicia has experience providing regulatory support for corporate activities, including preparing regulatory applications and other filings in connection with acquisitions and restructurings. Recently, Alicia has been involved in advising a broad range of financial services clients on the strategic and operational implications of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act. She joined Mayer Brown in 2007.
