Alison H. Hong is an Associate in the San Francisco, California office of Jackson Lewis P.C.
Ms. Hong represents public and private sector management at both the state and federal level in a broad range of employment law matters, including wage and hour issues and claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation and wrongful termination. Ms. Hong's practice encompasses individual as well as class action suits.
Prior to joining Jackson Lewis, Ms. Hong was an Associate at a defense litigation firm where she managed her own caseload and gained extensive experience in motion practice and discovery, including taking and defending depositions.
Ms. Hong received her B.A. in Sociology with a minor in Philosophy from the University of Washington and received her J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. Ms. Hong participated in the U.C. Hastings Civil Justice Clinic where she represented a low-income client in a California Department of Labor Standards Enforcement appeal involving claims for unpaid wages and meal and rest period violations. Ms. Hong received the Outstanding Fieldwork Award and the Witkin and CALI Award for Academic Excellence for her fieldwork and coursework at the Civil Justice Clinic. She also received the Witkin and CALI Award for Academic Excellence for her coursework in Intellectual Property under State Law: Trade Secrets and Employee Mobility.
During law school, Ms. Hong served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Peter Busch and the Honorable Patrick J. Mahoney in the Law and Motion Department of the San Francisco Superior Court. She also served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Phyllis J. Hamilton of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.
Ms. Hong is a member of the Board of Directors for the Korean American Bar Association of Northern California and serves as the Pro Bono Committee Co-Chair. Ms. Hong is also a member of the Asian American Bar Association of the Greater Bay Area.
Ms. Hong is fluent in Korean.
