As a senior trial attorney, Allan has obtained numerous defense verdicts for his clients in federal and state courts in education law, employment and complex business disputes. He is a member of the National Council of School Attorneys and is former Chair of the Missouri Council of School Attorneys and the Education Law Committee of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association.

· Obtained verdict for minority shareholders of a bank and obtained judgment holding Iowa's fair value statute unconstitutional
· Successfully defended a school district in a wrongful death action on behalf of the student killed by school bus
· Successfully defended action seeking to enjoin a newspaper from terminating a bulk haul transportation agreement that had been in effect for over 80 years
· Obtained injunction for snack foods company against distributor whose contract had been terminated
· Obtained injunction prohibiting former franchisees from competing against a franchisor
· Successfully defended school board members and circuit court judges in Open Meeting Act lawsuits
· Obtained injunction prohibiting bank from paying Mexican company on client's standby letter of credit
· Obtained writ of prohibition from Missouri Supreme Court requiring circuit court to dismiss a charter school's injunction action
· Obtained summary judgment for a church in case in which a youth leader was convicted of sexually assaulting boys on church outing
· Successfully represented owners in complex construction claims arbitration proceedings
