Allan Z. Litovsky is a shareholder in the Litigation Department of the Orange County office of Greenberg Traurig. Allan is a litigator and an intellectual property lawyer. He has experience in various types of commercial litigation, including intellectual property, unfair competition and breach of contract matters in a number of industries, including telecommunications, semiconductors, pharmaceuticals, oil and gas, medical devices, automotive, consumer electronics and financial services. Capitalizing on his technical training and work experience, Allan has handled a large number of technology cases, including major patent infringement, trade secret misappropriation, trademark infringement and anti-counterfeiting matters. Hyundai, Inc. -- Represented Texas Instruments in multiple patent infringement cases against Hyundai in the Eastern District of Texas. After a successful jury trial and a verdict of willful infringement of all asserted patent claims in the first case, the parties reached a global settlement very favorable to Texas Instruments. ˇ Massachusetts Institute of Technology v. JBL, Inc. -- Represented JBL in this patent infringement case in the District of Massachusetts. After substantial fact and expert discovery, negotiated a favorable settlement. ˇ Allergan, Inc. v. Santen, Inc. -- Represented Allergan in this patent and licensing dispute with a Japanese competitor in the Central District of California. After a substantial motion practice and expert discovery, negotiated a very favorable confidential settlement for Allergan. ˇ Thales In-Flight Avionics Systems, LLC v. Rockwell Collins, Inc. -- Represented Rockwell Collins in this patent and trade secrets case in the Central District of California. After a substantial discovery and motion practice, the parties entered into a confidential settlement agreement. ˇ STMicroelectronics, Inc. v. Broadcom Corporation -- Represented Broadcom in this patent infringement case that involved 10 patents in the areas of semiconductor manufacturing processes, memory circuitry, wireless communications, electrostatic discharge protection and digital video recording devices in the Eastern District of Texas. After fact discovery, expert discovery and a Markman hearing were completed, the parties entered into a confidential settlement agreement. ˇ Akazawa v. Link New Tech, Inc. -- Represented Link New Tech in a patent infringement case in the field of automotive technologies in the Central District of California. Took over the defense of this case after the case was litigated over a year, discovery had been closed and motions for summary judgment had been filed. Developed additional evidence that demonstrated that Plaintiff had no standing and convinced the Court to dismiss all claims against Link New Tech based on Plaintiff's lack of standing. ˇ Valadez v. Volvo Commercial Finance, LLC -- Represented Volvo in this contract dispute with a franchisee in the Southern District of California. After extensive discovery, obtained a favorable confidential settlement for Volvo. ˇ Kona Grill, Inc. v. Fisherman's Café, Inc. -- Represented Kona Grill in this trademark infringement case in the Southern District of California. Obtained a favorable settlement, including a stipulated permanent injunction against Fisherman's Café. ˇ Dos Gringos, Inc. v. Chronic Cantina, Inc. -- Represented Dos Gringos in this trademark infringement case in the Central District of California. Obtained a favorable settlement, including a stipulated injunction against Chronic Cantina. ˇ Dos Gringos, Inc. v. Sharkeez, Inc. -- Represented Dos Gringos in this trademark infringement case in the Central District of California. Obtained a favorable settlement, including a stipulated injunction against Sharkeez. ˇ Jamesway Restaurants v. Taco Bell Corp. -- Represented Taco Bell in this contract dispute with a large franchisee in a California State Court. After extensive discovery, several motions for summary judgment were filed by Taco Bell. Within weeks from trial, Taco Bell obtained a favorable confidential settlement. ˇ BHGV, LLC v. Inamed, LLC and Allergan, Inc. -- Represented Allergan, Inc. and Inamed LLC in this dispute over a multi-patent license agreement in the field of human collagen products. Plaintiff claimed that Inamed and Allergan owed over $30 million in royalties. After extensive discovery and a one-week arbitration, the arbitrator ruled that the license agreement had been properly terminated and that BHGV, LLC had no right to receive future royalties. ˇ oBand, Inc. v. The 8020 Corporation et al - Represented oBand, Inc. in this trademark infringement and cybersquatting dispute over the trademark and domain name rights in the Central District of California. Obtained a favorable confidential settlement, pursuant to which the client obtained full ownership of the domain name oband.com. ˇ Represented LG Electronics as a respondent in a Section 337 Investigation by the International Trade Commission regarding image processing technology of multiple mobile phones. After extensive discovery and the Evidentiary Hearing, the client entered into a confidential settlement agreement. Shortly thereafter, the Chief Administrative Judge issued an initial determination with regard to the remaining respondent, holding that claimant did not prove the domestic industry requirement, that one of the asserted patents was invalid and two other asserted patents were not infringed. ˇ ISTA Pharmaceuticals, Inc. v.
