Amanda, a member of the Husch Blackwell Technology, Manufacturing & Transportation industry team, advises local, national and international clients on a daily basis, working with them to find practical solutions to business problems. Amanda has substantial experience negotiating and managing contracts required for the ongoing business operations of the clients with whom she works. Additionally, she counsels companies through mergers and acquisitions and in beginning new business ventures, including drafting complex shareholder agreements, buy-sell agreements, operating agreements.

Throughout Amanda's career she has been seconded with multiple clients, including a multinational privately held company; a major aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul facility; and an engine maintenance and overhaul facility. These “in-house” experiences give Amanda a unique insight into the everyday realties that are faced by her clients.

Amanda also devotes a significant portion of her practice representing entities in the commercial airline and business aviation industries. Amanda has assisted clients in these industries with subsidiary and asset disposition, acquisition of assets and development of form agreements to streamline day-to-day operations. She has served as special counsel in providing lex situs opinions for foreign lenders in connection with aircraft acquisition, disposition and financing transactions. Clients also seek advice from Amanda on regulatory matters both with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the Department of Transportation (DOT).

As a member of the Husch Blackwell's Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) team she counsels clients on the use and operation of UAS. Her work with both manufacturers and operators in the aviation industry that have implemented new technologies gives her insight into the challenges and opportunities that clients might face. Additionally, Amanda is closely monitoring the development of the framework for commercial use of UAS.

•Served as outside general counsel for a major maintenance, repair and overhaul facility for large aircraft engine.
•Counsel for airline in connection with firm order of 100 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, plus options, and the restructuring of existing purchase and other agreements regarding Boeing 787, 737NG and 777 aircraft and associated engines.
•Co-counsel for commercial airline in connection with largest aircraft order in history (935 firm and option aircraft), including classic and new engine aircraft.
•Counsel for commercial airline in connection with engine selection campaigns for Boeing and Airbus aircraft.
•Represented commercial airline in connection with multiple used aircraft dispositions.
•Special counsel in providing lex situs opinions for foreign lenders in connection with United States deliveries of new and used aircraft.
•Provided outside general counsel services for a major business aviation maintenance and overhaul facility, including negotiation of completion agreements for large VIP aircraft.
•Served as temporary in-house commercial counsel for a large multinational privately held company.
•Represented client in the acquisition of a new automotive dealership, which involved the organization of a new buyer affiliated entity for purposes of the acquisition; the acquisition of the underlying real property; the acquisition of the dealership furniture, fixtures, and equipment and new and used vehicle inventories; coordination and support in regard to new OEM dealer approval required for the purchasing entity; coordination of buyer's floor plan financing and settlement of the seller's existing floor plan; and coordination and support in connection with financing for the purchase of the real property and an operating capital loan for the new business.
