Biography

Amanda practices with the firm's Creditors' Rights & Bankruptcy practice group. Her practice and experience concentrates mainly on commercial bankruptcy matters, including the representation of financial institutions, unsecured creditors committees and corporate debtors of various sizes. Recent engagements include the representation of two Chapter 11 debtors of national interest, Bruno's Supermarkets, LLC, and Bill Heard Enterprises, Inc., as well as the representation of the official committees of unsecured creditors of Dixie Pellets, LLC. Amanda's practice and experience also includes representation of landlords with respect to various commercial lease enforcement issues.

Amanda earned her J.D., magna cum laude, in 2007 from the University of Mississippi School of Law, where she served as associate articles editor of the Mississippi Law Journal. While in law school, Amanda received several honors including Outstanding Student Award in Corporations. She was a member of the Moot Court Board and Chairman of 2007 McGlinchey Stafford Appellate Competition. Amanda received a B.S. in Business Administration focusing on Economics from the University of Mississippi in 2001.

Prior to becoming an associate, Amanda worked as an Independent Petroleum Landman and as a Consumer Banker II for National City Bank.

Amanda is a member of the Alabama State Bar and the Mississippi Bar Association. She also serves as member of the firm's Recruiting Committee.
