Amber has handled litigation matters involving all types of products liability claims, commercial disputes, contract claims, personal injury claims, premises liability, prevailing wage and labor law disputes, civil rights and municipality defense and insurance disputes. She has successfully handled multiple National Association of Securities Dealers arbitrations and has represented financial services corporations in Securities Exchange Commission enforcement actions.
She has trial experience as lead and co-counsel in state and federal courts in Missouri and Kansas. In addition, she has extensive motion practice experience, has conducted all levels of discovery and has handled mediations and arbitrations. Amber is an experienced appellate advocate and has argued before the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals.
In law school, Amber received the Center for Forensic Economic Studies Excellence in Litigation Award and was the National Trial Advocacy Champion, the National Tournament of Champions Champion and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers Trial Champion.
Amber has served for many years on the firm's Hiring Committee, chairing the Committee for a number of years. She also serves on the firm's Diversity Committee, as part of the Women's Initiatives Subcommittee. In 2012, Amber became part of Husch Blackwell's "True North Enrichment Series for Women" planning committee.
