Ambie is an associate in the Tax & Trusts Group as well as the Charity & Not-For-Profit Law Group. As part of these teams, Ambie works on a variety of matters with an emphasis on personal tax, estate planning and estate administration, as well as providing a broad range of services to charities, not-for-profit organizations, donors and others.
Prior to joining Cassels Brock as an associate, Ambie articled with another prominent Canadian law firm located in Ottawa, Ontario, where she gained experience in the areas of tax, trusts, and estate planning. Ambie graduated from McMaster University with an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree prior to attending law school. While earning her Bachelor of Laws at the University of Western Ontario, Ambie was a Dean's Honour List student. She earned the Margaret E. Rintoul Award for the highest standing in Estate Planning, and the Law Society of Upper Canada Prize for academic excellence.
Ambie is fluent in Punjabi and Hindi. Her hobbies include exercising, gardening, interior design and volunteering at animal shelters.
