Amy is an associate in the Environmental and Natural Resources Practice Group. Her practice focuses on the representation of corporations and individuals in regulatory compliance, permitting, and policy matters under various environmental laws including the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act, the Clean Water Act, the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act, and related state laws and regulations.
Representative Experience
Environmental counsel to national retail chain with regard to federal and state regulatory schemes governing hazardous waste management and compliance with various aspects of the Clean Water Act and local and state regulations governing wastewater discharges.
Representation of clients in the investigation and remediation of a number of sites pursuant to the federal CERCLA statute, the Georgia Hazardous Site Response Act (HSRA), the Georgia Hazardous site Reuse and Redevelopment Act (Georgia Brownfields Statute) and the successful completion of cleanup activities under such programs.
Representation of national transportation company in the management of numerous information requests and defense of allegations of violations under the Clean Water Act and Oil Pollution Act.
Representation of local government in matters arising under the Clean Water Act and Georgia Erosion and Sedimentation Control Act, including MS4 permitting and related stormwater issues.
Counsel to large southeastern utility company in litigation arising under the Clean Air Act.
Representation of clients in ongoing due diligence and third party vendor management to limit exposure under various environmental laws and regulations.
Representation of clients with regard to reporting obligations under the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act and the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act.
