In 2006, Andrea L. Albert joined the firms New Orleans office after several years of litigation practice in her native Lafayette, Louisiana. Upon graduating from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in May of 2001, Andrea served as a law clerk to the Honorable Marc T. Amy, Louisiana Third Circuit Court of Appeal, which furthered her interest in appellate practice.
While at Loyola, she was picked to serve on the Moot Court Board and as a Moot Court teaching assistant, which focused on drafting appellate briefs and oral argument, and also served on the board for Phi Delta Phi Honor Fraternity.
Andrea is an experienced appellate attorney having written appellate briefs filed in all Louisiana courts of appeal, the Louisiana Supreme Court, and the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. In that regard, she has presented oral argument in front of four of Louisiana's appellate circuits on many occasions. Andrea has extensive experience arguing in front of state and federal trial courts and has successfully taken cases all of the way through trial obtaining verdicts in favor of the firm's client. Andrea's practice focuses on defense litigation, from trial through appeal, and includes the areas of insurance coverage, property damage, premises liability, contractual liability, and personal injury. She is admitted to practice in all Louisiana state and federal courts. Recently, Andrea was named the Executive Women International, New Orleans Chapter Representative of the Year award 2009 and serves as the chapter president.
