Andrew Dennis practices with Nexsen Pruet's corporate law group. Mr. Dennis works with organizations of all sizes in the various stages of the corporate life cycle, including formation or acquisition and the eventual sale or implementation of some other exit strategy. A significant part of his practice involves the representation of local developers and small businesses on a wide range of day-to-day corporate issues and the purchase and sale of closely-held entities.
Mr. Dennis earned his law degree, magna cum laude, from the University of South Carolina School of Law where he served as a Production Editor for the Real Property, Probate and Trust Journal, was awarded a legal merit scholarship, and named as a member of the Order of the Coif and the Order of the Wig and Robe. He received a B.S., with highest distinction, in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler Business School.
His background also includes work with the firm's real estate practice group, where he has assisted on a variety of commercial real estate developments and other matters, and work with the firm's employment litigation team, where he has helped employers handle various discrimination and other employment-related issues.
A native of the Lowcountry, Mr. Dennis also served as a Student Law Clerk at Santee Cooper prior to enrolling in law school, assisting the utility's legal team with the research of various regulatory, employment and small claims matters.
Mr. Dennis is active with the Berkeley County Chamber of Commerce and is a 2010 graduate of Leadership Berkeley.
