Andrew Pritchard practises corporate and commercial law with an emphasis on real estate, and land use and development in energy-related projects. Mr. Pritchard has extensive experience in business acquisitions, dispositions, financings and project development including the structuring of ownership, management and private-public partnerships. He represents financial institutions and borrowers in connection with secured transactions and commercial lending matters, the enforcement of commercial security, and realty specialty sales on behalf of court-appointed receivers, receiver-managers and trustees in bankruptcy.
Mr. Pritchard is Ottawa Chair of our business law group.

ˇ Greenfield Energy Centre LP in connection with the development and ultimate financing of a 1005 megawatt generating facility in southwestern Ontario, including negotiation and acquisition of necessary land interests for the generating facility, related servicing and transmission lines
ˇ A Canadian developer of a 132 megawatt gas-fired electric power plant facility in the Republic of Ghana backed by the Canadian Commercial Corporation
ˇ AIM PowerGen Corporation (now International Power Canada, Inc.) in connection with the development of various wind farm projects, including the acquisition of land use rights to support the development, installation and operation of wind farms; the negotiation of joint use rights with Hydro One Networks Inc.; and project financing associated with those projects
