Andy Quesnelle focuses his practice on labor and employment matters. Andrew has practiced in federal and state courts, as well as before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission, and the Pittsburgh Commission on Human Relations.
Representative Matters
ˇ Represents employers in matters encompassing the full spectrum of federal and state employment statutes, including Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Americans With Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Employee Retirement Income Security Act, the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act, and the Pennsylvania Wage Payment and Collection Law;
ˇ Defends employers against employment-related common law claims, including wrongful termination, breach of contract, and defamation;
ˇ Represents employers in unemployment compensation proceedings;
ˇ Counsels employers on day-to-day personnel issues, including hiring and firing, drafting and implementing employment policies and employee handbooks, and advising employers on cutting edge issues such as the use of social networking internet sites (e.g. Facebook, MySpace, etc.) by employees.
ˇ Represents management in union disputes under the National Labor Relations Act.
