Andrew W. Bagley is a counsel in the Labor and Employment Group, where he provides litigation and counseling services concerning a wide range of labor and employment matters.
Andrew is a veteran of more than 20 wage and hour class actions, including nationwide actions against a telecommunications company, statewide actions against an armored transport company, and facility-wide actions against an auto parts manufacturer and a teaching hospital. Considered an authority on wage and hour laws, Andrew also advises companies on all facets of wage and hour compliance.
Andrew also devotes a significant part of his practice to non-competition and non-solicitation agreements. He also litigates and counsels employers concerning reductions in force, severance agreements, and discrimination issues.
Having grown up in Brussels, Belgium, Andrew speaks fluent French and regularly represents French and Belgian companies in the United States. Andrew received his undergraduate degree, magna cum laude, from Duke University in 1986 and his law degree in 1994 from the University of Maryland, where he was a member of the Law Review and the Order of the Coif. Before attending law school, Andrew was a sales manager with Procter & Gamble.
Andrew is a member of the District of Columbia and Maryland bars, as well as the bars of various federal district and appellate courts. He is a member of the Labor and Employment sections of the D.C. Bar and the American Bar Association.
