Practice/Industry Group Overview
Despite our proven courtroom successes, Andrews Kurth routinely engages in arbitration, mediation and other forms of alternative dispute resolution to minimize the cost of litigation.
With litigants beset by time delays, escalating court schedules and increased litigation costs, alternative dispute resolution (ADR) has become a standard and pragmatic means of achieving a desired outcome and satisfying our clients' needs, while sparing them the cost, time and stress of protracted litigation.

Services Available
Andrews Kurth employs all forms of alternative dispute resolution - including arbitration, mediation, summary jury trial, early neutral evaluation, moderated settlement and conciliation. A number of our lawyers have also received formal ADR training and serve as mediators and arbitrators.
From minor two-party disputes to multi-million dollar corporate battles, our firm has used ADR tactics in a variety of commercial contexts: complex financial disputes, corporate restructurings, real estate workouts, securities and broker-dealer disputes, intellectual property, taxes, contracts, arbitrating commercial agreements, tort, bankruptcy, construction and labor matters, among others. We also advise clients on the appropriate use of ADR techniques to settle internal matters and assist them in drafting ADR-related procedures and guidelines.
