| Biography | Angelo Cifaldi is a shareholder with Wilentz, Goldman & Spitzer P.A., where he is Chair of the Mass Tort/Class Action Team. Mr. Cifaldi is involved in all aspects of toxic tort litigation in the areas of emphasis discussed including trial work.
He has tried numerous cases to verdict and his most successful trial to date was a $1.625 million verdict for a client he represented with lung cancer caused by asbestos.
In addition to obtaining recoveries for his clients as a result of trials, Mr. Cifaldi has also negotiated settlements in numerous toxic tort matters. Some of his most successful settlements involve mass contamination cases in Northern New Jersey. Two of those cases settled for $38.5 million and $17.5 million.
Mr. Cifaldi is also the attorney for the New Jersey Pharmaceutical Association and the Garden State Pharmacy Owners Association.
In this capacity, he represents them in various disputes with independent and State agencies. In conjunction with this position, he also represents numerous pharmacists before the Board of Pharmacy with regard to administrative matters. In addition to his work with the firm, Mr. Cifaldi has been an Associate Professor of Pharmacy Law at Rutgers College of Pharmacy since 1986. Besides teaching the Pharmacy Law course to fourth year pharmacy students, Mr. Cifaldi periodically gives seminars relating to important pharmaceutical legal issues for programs sponsored by Rutgers College of Pharmacy, the American Society of Pharmacy Law and the New Jersey Pharmaceutical Association.
Mr. Cifaldi is also involved in civic activities as the chair of the North Haledon Recreation Commission. He has held that position since 1983. He also serves as the president of the New Jersey Amateur Baseball Congress. He is former council and council president of the Borough of North Haledon and continues to be active politically in Passaic County politics.
