Anjana Patel is a member of the Sills Cummis & Gross Health Care Practice Group. Ms. Patel represents a diverse group of health care providers, including hospitals, nursing homes, ambulatory surgery centers and other ambulatory care facilities, pharmaceutical and medical device companies, investment funds specializing in health care, physician groups and various other health care facilities and businesses. Ms. Patel represents health care providers in a variety of complex business transactions including strategic transactions designed to better position providers in light of the new Health Care Reform Law and its mandate for delivery of care reform (such as ACOs and medical homes) and payment reform (such as bundled payments). She also actively represents clients in mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, affiliations and a variety of contractual matters, including professional services agreements, recruitment and employment. Ms. Patel provides guidance and compliance strategies with respect to health care regulatory issues involving federal and state fraud and abuse laws, the Stark and state self-referral laws, corporate practice of medicine, non-profit and tax-exemption law, and licensure and certificate of need regulation. In addition, she provides advice on the organization, governance and operations of non-profit and for-profit companies. Ms. Patel is a frequent speaker at conferences, both nationally and regionally, on health care issues, and has authored numerous articles in various health care industry publications. Ms. Patel has been selected for inclusion in the 2010 and 2011 editions of Chambers USA®* published by Chambers & Partners under New Jersey Healthcare and the 2011 and 2012 editions of The Best Lawyers in America®* published by Woodard/White under Health Care Law.
