About this office: Please let me introduce you to my practice. First of all, my practice is distinguished by the highly individualized, personal attention I provide to my clients. As a solo practitioner I will handle your work personally and I pride myself in my accessibility to my clients. While focusing on your immediate legal needs, I also understand the personal nature of family law during what is frequently a stressful period in a client's life. A certified family law specialist, I handle all divorce related matters, including complex property disputes, child support, child custody, spousal and family support, guardianship and parentage matters. Also, a considerable amount of my practice is devoted to family law appeals. I also handle interstate jurisdictional matters related to the uniform Child Custody Jurisdiction and Enforcement Act (UCCJEA). I bring to my practice my experience as an attorney for the last fifteen years, concentrating on family law. I have extensive experience not only in the practical field of family law but also in the field of scholarship. I have taught family law at the Santa Clara School of Law. I also obtained my Ph.D. in sociology (with an emphasis on family studies) while teaching in a number of institutions of higher learning in California and elsewhere. I have additional taught in the "Sociology of Law" program at the University of California at Davis. Both my J.D. (Boalt Hall) and Ph.D. were acquired at the University of California at Berkeley. Your satisfaction with your attorney depends upon two components: first, his/her ability to accomplish your legal objectives; and second, the professional relationship you have with your attorney. I hope this overview has assisted you in regard to the first matter. Regarding the second component, the essential rapport between attorney and client, please feel free to call my office and schedule a consultation.
