She represents individuals involved in complex crimes such as tax fraud, securities fraud, embezzlement, mortgage fraud, health care fraud, as well as in related civil actions and licensing proceedings. Ms. Smith has also served as independent counsel to conduct internal corporate investigations. Her achievements include publication of "Precluding Use of a Co-Defendant's Civil Deposition in a Joint Criminal Trial," an article she co-authored for the Complex Crimes Journal in 1991; and being included among the Utah Legal Elite for her work in criminal law. She is a member of Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. |
