Annette Kerlin McBrayer is of counsel in the Atlanta office of Coleman Talley LLP where she focuses on real estate litigation, commercial litigation, and bankruptcy, with an emphasis on title insurance claims, creditor's rights as it relates to real estate, eminent domain, mortgage lending, construction litigation, landlord/tenant, and general real estate matters. Annette acts as a court appointed special master for title litigation and is a private mediator for disputes involving title matters, eminent domain, construction, landlord/tenant, and commercial litigation. She received her BA Degree with a double major in Accounting and Business Administration from North Carolina State University and received her J.D./MBA Degree from Emory University in 1983.
Annette is a member of the State Bar of Georgia: Bankruptcy, Eminent Domain and Real Property Law sections and the Atlanta Bar Association: Bankruptcy, Construction (board of directors 2001-2005), and Real Property Law sections. She is admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court.
Annette's professional involvement includes membership in Dixie Land Title Association; Georgia Real Estate Fraud Prevention and Awareness Coalition (GREFPAC) (Board of Directors 2011 -); and the Lawyer's Club of Atlanta.
In the community, Annette is a member of Glenn Memorial United Methodist Church (trustee 1998-2003, music committee 2006—, music committee chair 2008-2010), along with being an active member with Fernbank Museum of Natural History; the Georgia Conservancy; the High Museum of Art; the Atlanta Botanical Gardens, and the Chattanooga Aquarium (charter member). Annette was formerly involved with Hemophilia of Georgia (board of directors for 6 years, chaired and co-chaired the Fund Raising/Development Committee for 12 years).
