Annette M. Haas is an associate in the Indianapolis, Indiana office of Barnes & Thornburg LLP and a member of the firm's Finance, Insolvency and Restructuring Department.
Prior to joining Barnes & Thornburg, Ms. Haas was as a Deputy Attorney General in Administrative/Regulatory Litigation and General Collections Litigation for the Indiana Attorney General's Office. There, she was responsible for representing various state agencies in all aspects of the litigation process. Her main practice areas included administrative law, constitutional challenges, criminal law, Freedom of Information Act, injunctions, judicial reviews, securities violations, and workers compensation. Ms. Haas also represented the state of Indiana in all aspects of general collection proceedings, from the initial complaint to perfecting judgment to post-judgment collection of restitution. Her litigation practice included work in collections, bankruptcy, inheritance tax, mortgage foreclosures, tort law, and unemployment law.
Ms. Haas received her B.S. in business administration of financial planning from Central Michigan University in 2000. She earned her J.D. cum laude from Thomas M. Cooley Law School.
Ms. Haas is a member of the Indiana State Bar Association. She is licensed to practice in the state of Indiana and the United States District Court for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana.
