Anthony Moshirnia is an associate in the Firm's Government Contracts & Regulated Industries Practice Group. He has significant experience in complex litigation, including drafting and opposing pleadings and motions, propounding and responding to discovery, fact gathering and analysis, and witness consultation. Mr. Moshirnia has also assisted clients with internal and external investigations and due diligence to assess their exposure under the False Claims Act, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, and other state and federal laws. Mr. Moshirnia's practice has included:
· Aggressively defending a lawsuit brought under the federal False Claims Act and several state equivalents against one of the world's largest manufacturers of infrastructure products
· Conducting due diligence under the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act for a multinational technology company regarding a potential product demonstration for a delegation of Middle Eastern officials
· Performing on-location records audits and witness interviews for a government contractor to assess potential False Claims Act liability
· Investigating and assisting to bring about a non-litigious resolution to an intellectual property dispute between two companies in the aerospace industry
· Successfully defending a class action lawsuit levying allegations of fraud against a telecommunications company and its directors
· Obtaining judgment for damages and a permanent injunction against a minority partner who attempted to wrongfully usurp the ownership and development rights to a lucrative green energy wind-farm project
· Assisting with the successful prosecution of a civil RICO action brought on behalf of a prominent real estate developer against one of the largest mortgage-lenders in the West
