The Firm was founded in 1981. It has acquired an excellent reputation in corporate law, intellectual property law, real estate and construction law and is one of the most recognizable Singapore names in these areas. The Firm had also advised on major litigation and arbitration, and represented first rank regulators and corporations in the Singapore courts and elsewhere. Our lawyers advise on local corporate law, intellectual property law and tax law, mergers and acquisitions, capital market and finance, employment law, real estate law, banking and all commercial legal issues. We are particularly skilful in counseling clients on inheritance and succession issues, and we represent clients in the Singapore courts and arbitration tribunals with tenacity and dedication.

We hired our first Chinese lawyer in 1993 and our first Indian lawyer in 1999, before the stunning growth in these countries. Since then, the law and business development in China and India have been part of our firm's general body of knowledge and expertise.

Likewise, Arthur Loke is Special Counsel to LBI. In India we work with BMS Rao of Bangalore, and in China, we work with Hao XiaoDong of Beijing and Tina Du of Shanghai, all experienced and excellent business lawyers the Firm is proud to work with.
