Atwood, Malone, Turner & Sabin traces its origins back to a sole practice first established by Colonel Jefferson D. Atwood in 1911. Colonel Atwood was a prominent force in the development of oil and gas in the early days of exploration and drilling. Atwood & Malone was created in 1937 when Colonel Atwood formed a partnership with Ross L. Malone. The accomplishments of Mr. Malone include: United States Deputy Attorney General, President of the American Bar Association and Vice President and General Counsel to General Motors Corporation. The firm has grown steadily and developed a broad based practice including appellate, banking, bankruptcy, creditor's rights, business and commercial, civil rights and constitutional law, employment, health care, insurance, oil and gas, product liability, real estate, and workers compensation law. The firm is listed in Martindale Hubbell's Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers.
