B. Wesley Pitts

Wesley has enjoyed fifteen years of representing individuals, insurers and businesses, both large and small, in litigation, coverage, and transactional matters. Mr. Pitts joined Galloway, Johnson, Tompkins, Burr & Smith in 2005 after practicing in both Baton Rouge and New Orleans, Louisiana. Wesley received his Bachelor of Arts from Louisiana State University in 1992 and his Juris Doctorate from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University in 1995. Wesley entered private practice in Baton Rouge, Louisiana where he represented private and public companies in myriad commercial litigation and transactional matters as well as in regard to securities, corporate, and employment issues. He also assisted individuals and businesses in tax disputes before the Internal Revenue Service at the audit and appeals levels and before the Tax Court. Relocating to the New Orleans area in 1998, Wesley engaged in a civil practice representing Gulf South businesses, insurers and local governmental entities. Wesley has represented insurance, heavy industry, and governmental clients in property, casualty, coverage, and construction litigation matters. He has also been of service to clients in negotiating complex contracts and agreements, in business sales and acquisitions, franchising and with business start-ups. Wesley focuses his practice on commercial transaction as well as defense, commercial, and coverage litigation.

In his spare time, Wesley enjoys spending time with his family, reading, and rooting for local sports teams.
