Bailey, Riley, Buch & Harman, L.C.

The law firm of Riley & Riley was founded in 1878 by Thomas S. Riley, a former Attorney General of the State of West Virginia. Four generations of the Riley family have practiced law with the firm. The law firm of Byrum, Bailey & Riley, L.C., was founded in 1915 by P. J. McGinley. Two generations of the Bailey family have practiced with the firm.

Each firm has had a long history of public service as well as service to its clients. Members of each firm have succeeded to the offices of United States District Court Judge, Assistant United States Attorney, Prosecuting Attorney, City Solicitor, Circuit Court Judge, State Senator, Justice of the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals, Presidency of the West Virginia State Bar and Bar Association and Member of the ABA Board of Governors, and most recently, United States Attorney for the Northern District of West Virginia.
