Barb Pitman is an associate in the Indianapolis office of Barnes & Thornburg LLP and a member of the firm's Finance, Insolvency and Restructuring Department.
Prior to joining Barnes & Thornburg, Ms. Pitman spent two summers as a summer associate in the firm's Indianapolis office. Before that, Ms. Pitman was a speech and debate coach for high school and middle school students.
Ms. Pitman earned her J.D. from Columbia University School of Law, where she participated in a national moot court competition and was a teaching fellow. Ms. Pitman earned her B.A., summa cum laude, from Indiana University, where she was awarded the Faculty Medal of Distinction, the School of Liberal Arts' highest honor.
Ms. Pitman is a member of the Indiana University School of Liberal Arts Alumni Board and has been involved in various community and pro bono projects in the Indianapolis and New York City areas.
Ms. Pitman is admitted to practice in the state of Indiana and before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana.
