Barbara J. Boake

Barbara J. Boake is a partner in our Bankruptcy and Restructuring Group in Toronto and a member of the firm's Senior Leadership Team as National Leader, Professionals. She practises in the areas of bankruptcy, insolvency and restructuring and advises clients in Canada, the United States and Europe.

Ms. Boake has extensive experience in acquisitions, dispositions and restructurings of financially distressed corporations. She also advises US and Canadian high-yield investors in their debt trading activities.

She is listed in the 2007 edition of Chambers Global: The World's Leading Lawyers for Business as a leading lawyer in the area of restructuring and insolvency. In addition, she was named one of the top 40 international restructuring professionals under 40 by the Global Insolvency and Restructuring Review.

In addition to her legal experience, Ms. Boake has acted as a senior advisor to the Minister of Finance (Ontario).

Ms. Boake received her LLB from The University of Western Ontario in 1985. She was called to the Ontario bar in 1987.
