Barry Feinberg, a founding Principal of Chuhak & Tecson, heads the firm's probate practice, including all aspects of probate, trust and estate planning.
His experience includes appointments as Guardian Ad Litem for minors and disabled persons, and he has been appointed by probate court judges as special administrator in numerous probate estates.
From 1971 to 2003 he was counsel to the Cook County Public Administrator.
Barry has had numerous Illinois Appellate Court opinions published, and his litigation experience encompasses all states of trial and appellate activities before the state and federal courts. He is past section chairman of the probate committee of the Chicago Bar Association, past section counsel to the Illinois Bar Association committee on probate and estate planning, and past board member for School District 106.
He has served as a member of Chuhak & Tecson's compensation committee, and currently chairs the firm's finance committee.
For the Northwest Bar Association, Barry has lectured with Cook County probate judges and authored a probate handbook. In addition, he participated in drafting proposed legislation through the Chicago Bar Association and has lectured for seminars at financial institutions and civic and charitable groups.
Barry has been selected as one of the top Illinois lawyers in estate planning, trust and probate by both Leading Lawyers and Super Lawyers.
