While chairing the Firm's creditors' rights real estate practice, Mr. Bressler handles a wide variety of creditors' rights issues, bankruptcy matters, and real estate litigation. He has represented lenders, landlords, developers, owners, contractors and subcontractors in commercial mortgage foreclosures, suits against guarantors, loan workouts, commercial lease, brokerage commission, land use, landlord-tenant disputes and construction litigation. Mr. Bressler also is occasionally involved in real estate lending and conduit lending transactions. Areas of Experience Bankruptcy Law Mr. Bressler litigates in the bankruptcy courts, usually for lenders, landlords and committees or other creditors, but also for Trustees and selected debtors. He also litigates in the Federal and Pennsylvania State Courts on a regular basis. He also handles selected contract disputes, disputes among principals of closely held businesses, restrictive covenant and commercial collection matters. · Representation of secured lenders in foreclosures and in borrowers' bankruptcies of nursing homes in multiple states, including confirming secured creditors' and joint plans of reorganization. · Representation of the Chapter 11 Trustee in the bankruptcy of a publicly held home infusion company in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware. · Representation of conduit lenders and special servicers in connection with workouts and foreclosures of industrial, shopping center and multifamily properties in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York and Delaware. · Representation of a consortium of lenders in foreclosure and borrower's and condominium association's bankruptcies in a $50 million + construction mortgage on resort/condominium property. · Representation of Frigidaire Financial Corporation in connection with workouts, repossessions and borrowers' bankruptcies on appliance floorplan lending to several appliance chains with stores in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware. · Representation of Liberty Property Trust and other commercial landlord in the tenant bankruptcies in the United States Bankruptcy Courts for the Districts of Delaware, New Jersey, Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts of Pennsylvania, and Southern District of New York. · Representation of the Trustees of the University of Pennsylvania in the Enron bankruptcy in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York. · Representation of the Ad Hoc Committees of Consumer Victims, holders of over $1.25 billion of product liability personal injury claimants in the Chrysler and General Motors bankruptcies Real Estate Litigation Mr. Bressler handles a wide variety of real estate litigation, representing lenders, landlords, developers, owners, contractors and sub-contractors in commercial mortgage foreclosures, suits against guarantors, loan workouts, commercial lease, brokerage commission, land use and landlord-tenant disputes and construction litigation. He is also involved in real estate lending and conduit lending transactions. · Representation of GMAC Commercial Mortgage Corporation as lender and/or special servicer in foreclosures, workouts and borrower bankruptcies of shopping centers, office and industrial properties, health care facilities, hospitality facilities and apartment complexes. · Representation of Finova Capital Corporation in connection with foreclosure or deed in lieu transactions on assisted living facilities located in Pennsylvania, New York and Connecticut. · Representation of conduit lenders and special servicer in connection with workouts and foreclosure of industrial, shopping center and multifamily residential properties in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware. · Representation of Prologis in repossession proceedings and tenants' bankruptcy proceedings in Delaware and California.
