Mr. Johnson has practiced extensively in the Beaufort County and Jasper County areas since 1971, and has often handled matters elsewhere in South Carolina. Jason W. Ward joined the firm in 2004. Evan K. Bromley joined the firm in 2007. Hutson S. Davis, Jr., joined the firm in 2009. Mr. Davis has over 25 years experience defending medical doctors and other healthcare professionals against medical malpractice claims. Under the tort areas of civil litigation, the firm handles plaintiffs' cases involving serious personal injury and medical malpractice. The firm's practice is at the trial and appellate levels. The firm generally does not handle matters involving criminal law or domestic relations.

In the real estate arena, the firm has substantial experience representing developers in dealing with governmental entities involving land use and development, permitting, zoning, subdivision planning, condominium development, vesting of rights, and related matters. The firm also performs commercial and residential closings, refinances, and home equity lines of credit.
