Barry S. Zisman was born in New York City, grew up on Long Island, received both his undergraduate and law degrees from Columbia University, and has practiced in Texas since 1983.
He has provided legal representation to numerous entities, locally and nationally, including CBS Inc., United Artists Corporation, the U.S. Department of Commerce, the Resolution Trust Corporation, Grumman Corporation, Muzak Inc., SilverCreek Pictures and STAK Design, Inc.
In addition to his membership in the bars of Texas, New York and the District of Columbia, he is admitted to practice, inter alia, before the U.S. Courts of Appeal for the Second and Fifth Circuit and the Supreme Court of the United States.
He is the author of Chapter 36A, Williston on Contracts, 1967 and Banks and Thrifts: Government Enforcement and Receivership, 1991, Matthew Bender and Company, as well as numerous articles and treatises relating to business and banking. He has been a member of the Board of Directors several professional organizations relating to his fields of practice. Mr. Zisman served as General Counsel of the Irving/Las Colinas Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Irving Arts Board and a member of Rotary.
