Barry Sufrin is a partner in the firm's Intellectual Property Practice Group. He has more than 35 years' experience, both as a corporate attorney and at the law firm level, in patent prosecution, litigation, licensing and other aspects of intellectual property, including trade secrets, trademarks and copyrights. His practice includes counseling clients domestically and internationally in intellectual property protection and management including licensing agreements and litigation.
Barry has worked in a wide range of technologies including, among others, water treatment, oil refining, food science, coatings and polymers, nanomaterials, medical and dental devices, prosthetics, clothing, toys, timepieces, thermometers and weather stations, fiber optics, metalworking equipment, heavy machinery, X-ray equipment, and business methods. He has substantial experience in the preparation and prosecution of patent and trademark applications in the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and in patent and trademark offices throughout the world. Barry has also litigated patent, copyright, and trade secret infringement actions in federal trial and appellate courts. He regularly counsels clients on patent and trademark infringement and validity questions.
