Her practice concentrates in a wide variety of intellectual property (IP) matters, such as counseling, management and enforcement of domestic IP rights. Ms. Cancino previously served at the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property (IMPI), focusing in the prosecution and decision of trademarks and patent litigation proceedings. She has a vast experience in administrative and High Court IP Litigation in connection with trademarks, patents; pharmaceuticals and copyrights. Her practice on the private field also includes IP due diligence; domain name disputes; border measures actions; parallel imports; trade secret; franchising; negotiation and preparation of patent, trademark and copyright; software- license agreements, and assignment, settlement, consent and co-existence agreements.
