Background
Bekhzod Abdurazzakov is an associate in the Securities and Capital Markets Group at our Toronto office. Bekhzod was admitted to the Ontario Bar in 2011 and the New York State Bar in 2009. He graduated from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law in 2010. In addition, Bekhzod holds an LL.M degree from Harvard Law School and another Master of Laws degree (with distinction) in International Economic Law from the University of Warwick School of Law (U.K.). Prior to that, he completed a Bachelor of Laws degree at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (Uzbekistan).
Prior to joining us in 2011, Bekhzod spent three years working as a lawyer at a major international law firm focusing on corporate and securities transactions as well as mergers and acquisitions. He also worked as a legal consultant with the World Bank Group in Washington D.C. on various development and regulatory projects. At the World Bank, Bekhzod was a member of the team that surveyed practitioners, government officials and academics from more than 110 countries worldwide and prepared a report identifying the obstacles to growth.
Bekhzod is fluent in English, Russian and Uzbek languages.
