Benjamin Rajabi counsels energy providers, developers, traders and investors in mergers and acquisitions, structured transactions and joint ventures. His clients include traditional exploration and production companies, commodity trading firms, retail electric providers, and pipeline operators. Ben handles stock and asset acquisitions, operating and transportation agreements, prepaid natural gas transactions, secured hedge transactions and other transactions. Recently, Ben represented a commodity trading firm on a secured hedge facility, a retail electric provider in the sale of its business, an exploration and production company in the acquisition of oil and gas leases, and a commodity trading firm in restructuring its existing prepaid natural gas transactions.
Prior to joining Sutherland, Benjamin held associate and summer associate positions with several firms in Houston, where he gained experience in corporate and securities matters. He also served as a judicial intern for the Honorable George C. Hanks with the First Court of Appeals of Texas.
