Bernard Roy's areas of expertise include civil, commercial and administrative law. He regularly serves as an arbitrator and mediator in addition to acting as counsel before many courts and administrative and arbitral tribunals. He has also served as counsel to many commissions of inquiry, including the Gomery Commission, and has frequently appeared before parliamentary and senate committees and government bodies.
He was Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister of Canada from 1984 to 1988.
